Botha, Hardy
HARDY BOTHA was born in Kroonstad, Orange Free State in 1947. He is a and graphic artist of figures, animals and carnival scenes. Works in oil, lithography and etching. In 1967 Botha Hardy gained a Diploma in Fine Art from Orange Free State Technical College. He is a scenery designer for a circus where he also worked as a clown in 1972. He has participated in many group exhibitions in South Africa. His first of several solo exhibitions in 1973 SAAA Gallery in Pretoria and in 1979 Cape Town Biennial, South Africa and at the Sao Paulo Biennale in Brazil and in the United States of America and in West Germany.
