Dykman, Jeanette
Jeanette Dykman is a South African painter who was born in 1938. She began her studies under the guidance of her father. She paints flowers, mainly roses.
From 1970 she has participated in many group exhibitions in SA. In 1971 she held her first of several solo exhibitions in SA House in London. The other solo exhibitions were held throughout Europe, SA and USA.
Her art-work is represented in the Municipal Collections of Springs, Randfontein, Brakpan, Krugersdorp and Newcastle; in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, in the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as in numerous art galleries and private collections in South Africa and overseas. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including ‘Still Life Roses’ sold at 5th Avenue Auctioneers ‘Auction’ in 2014.
